US President Donald Trump and European allies have discussed security guarantees for Ukraine “in the style of Article 5” of the North Atlantic Treaty, but with no NATO involvement.

Details: An unnamed European official told CNN that during their conversation after Trump’s talks with the Kremlin chief in Alaska, European officials and the US president had discussed the possible provision of “Article 5-style” security guarantees for Ukraine as part of a potential peace agreement.
However, the source noted that NATO would not be involved in these potential guarantees. The exact details of the proposal are unknown.
An Ukrainska Pravda source familiar with the talks has confirmed that the discussion took place and clarified that the wording used during the phone call was “non-NATO Article 5 security guarantees”.
The idea was put forward by the US as one of the security guarantees for Ukraine that were supposedly agreed with Putin in Alaska.

3️⃣ Use of frozen Russian assets to restore Ukraine.
4️⃣ No blackmail on the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
5️⃣ Strengthening the unity of the democratic world.
Peace is possible only after a careless ceasefire – on land, in the air and at sea. This is exactly what we demanded during the preparation of the Minsk agreements, and this demand remains unchanged.
Ukraine stands for peace, but not at the expense of its own land, freedom and democracy.”
It is crystal clear from this that Poro’s position is almost identical to that of Zel. Ditto Kira Rudik, leader of Holos Party.
Despite the toxic tags attached to my articles i’m pretty certain that a good deal will be achieved.
This one is certainly good for putin, not the millions of civilians that will come under russian rule.
The Budapest Memorandum has shown that no deals with the United States are worth the paper they’re written on. And this goes especially if a convicted felon and child abuser is the prez.
