US President Donald Trump admits that the United States may reconsider its policy of increasing tariffs on Chinese goods, which has caused serious fluctuations in financial markets.

He told reporters at the White House,  Reuters reports, Censor.NET reports .

“I don’t want them to go up because at some point people will stop buying. So maybe I don’t want to go higher or even get to that level. I might want to go lower because you know, you want people to buy, and at some point people won’t buy,” the American leader said.

As Reuters notes, Trump’s comments  indicate a decline in interest in further expanding tariff pressure.

Although communication is maintained between the US and China, it is not at the highest level, the article says.
