The peace deal proposed by the Russian dictator is dangerous for Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump has accepted Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s position on ending the war in Ukraine. This was stated by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, People’s Deputy Oleksandr Merezhko, CNN reports .

According to the politician, this is explained by Trump’s statement that the best way to end the war in Ukraine is to reach a “peace agreement” rather than a truce.
“Unfortunately, Trump accepted Putin’s position, and this was Putin’s demand. In Putin’s opinion, the peace agreement means several dangerous things – Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO, his absurd demands for denazification and demilitarization, the Russian language and the Russian church,” Merezhko noted.
At the same time, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Serhiy Leshchenko, noted that if negotiations take place before the conclusion of a ceasefire, this could create a “high risk of blackmail for Ukraine.”
“Our vision is first a ceasefire, and then everything else. Why? Because if we negotiate before a ceasefire, it will create a high risk of blackmail for Ukraine,” he stressed.
CNN recalled that, having changed his position, Trump emphasized after the Alaska summit that a “peace agreement” is the best way to end the war, and not a truce, which Ukraine and its allies are insisting on. At the same time, he had previously told reporters that he would not be happy if Putin did not agree to a truce during the meeting in Alaska.
