Ukrainian law enforcement officers have found a torture chamber in the basement of a children’s sanatorium in Bucha where Russian troops tortured civilians.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said this in a statement posted to Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Prosecutors and Kyiv police found a torture chamber in Bucha. The police discovered the bodies of five men with their hands tied in the basement of a children’s sanatorium. Russian servicemen tortured unarmed civilians and then killed them,” the statement said.

It adds that prosecutors and police officers are currently working at the crime scene. Every effort is being made to establish the circumstances of each war crime and those involved in Russian aggression in order to bring them to justice.

Earlier reports said that the towns of Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and the entire Kyiv region had been liberated from Russian invaders. The Ukrainian military, who entered these towns, found dozens of victims of war crimes of Russian troops.

Among them are raped women whose bodies Russian forces tried to burn, as well as local government officials killed, children, the elderly, and men. Many have their hands tied, there are traces of torture, and many people were shot in the back of the head.

  1. Even if these people would have been soldiers there are laws to follow even in a war but they, russian soldiers, just don´t seem to care, or atleast many of them don´t seem to care at all.

      • I don´t agree that russians in general are and behave like this but i fully understand the hard feelings and anger.

        • We have seen it by Russians in Syria, the Donbas, Crimea, Georgia, the C.A.R., and everywhere else the Moskali go. Including their own jails. Yes, it is cultural and yes they are worse than animals.

          • Yes these soldiers and their behaviour in the field, i know about brutality and atrocities in war but i think they should know better by now. This is sick.

  2. Russians favor this war by a vast majority. Yes I put it the Russians. They’re a fucked people who deserve to die for not standing up and be counted in humanity. This is akin to the Germans in WW2 who accepted Hitlers brutality.

    • I am experiencing new feelings in my life. Never before 2014 did I wish death or pain on another person, even my enemies. I always believed in Karma.
Now I am starting to believe that there really is evil in this world and it has taken the form of Putin, Shoigu and a few others. Good people cannot look the other way in the face of evil. It must be destroyed. Period. There can be NO fucking negotiations with evil. Never!

      • The Kharkiv Human Rights Group has documented thousands of cases of RuSSian savagery in the Donbas since 2014; torture, rape and mass murder. Including a 15 year old boy who was tortured to death for having a Ukrainian flag on his sports bag.
Those acts alone should have been enough for the “sanctions from hell”, but of course nothing happened.
The entire putler regime needs to suffer the same agony as their victims.

  3. Absolute horrific!
In the face of what we are seeing, sanctions are still much too fluffy.
It’s getting so tiring having to deride the West nonstop for its utter weakness, greed and cowardice. When will it finally stand up to this monster regime with enough strength and courage to destroy it?
