Yegor Chernev, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party and deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, announced this on the telethon .
Responding to a question about the results of the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian delegation to the United States, he noted: “For now, the issue of Tomahawks will be put on hold.”

When asked what European partners and NATO countries expect from the meeting between Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump, Chernev also expressed the opinion that “expectations have changed somewhat due to Putin’s call to Trump yesterday.”
“It was expected that a decision would be made on the Tomahawks, but it’s clear that Putin was afraid of such a transfer, afraid of such a move by the US. Therefore, this issue has been postponed until Trump’s meeting with Putin in Budapest,” the deputy said.
Thus, he believes, the expectations of European partners and NATO are that there will be some concrete results regarding peace in Ukraine or that the issue of providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine will be resolved.
