Today’s attack by our UAVs on power plants and refinery in Moscow literally lit up, and here’s why

We analyze the currently known details of a new episode of the use of Ukrainian kamikaze drones

Various resources and mass media report that on the night of September 1, 2024, a massive attack by long-range kamikaze UAVs was carried out on energy facilities in the territory of the Russian Federation. It is noted that during this episode Kashirskaya GRES and Konakovskaya GRES were hit, and in addition, the Moscow Refinery was confirmed to have been hit.

Even if there is still no official confirmation of this strike from our military, there is still something to analyze here. Because it seems that the campaign of strikes against the critical infrastructure of the aggressor country has successfully entered a new phase.

Moscow Refinery on the map of the aggressor capital

If we start from such a basic level, then here it is quite possible to deduce that today’s attack by our UAVs on the Russian power plant and oil refinery in Moscow will literally burn, and what is more, due to several factors at once.

To begin with, we can look at the screenshot above and assess that the affected Moscow Refinery is located right within the capital of the aggressor country, that is, the case when the fact of hitting an important object cannot be hidden.

And it seems that this is precisely what explains a certain contradiction in the statements of the Rashists: the Moscow City Hall claims that it was apparently only one drone shot down by Russian air defense that hit the technical premises of the refinery; and at the same time the propagandists claim the opposite, namely that “the fire has the highest level of complexity”. If we talk about the value of the Moscow Refinery, then it is necessary to indicate not only the figure of the installed processing capacity of 11 million tons of oil per year, but also – what exactly it is the company provides 40% of gasoline and 50% of diesel fuel for Moscow itself, and at the same time is the main supplier of aviation fuel for Moscow airports.

If we talk about the affected Russian GRES, then the following details should be given here. To begin with, let’s explain that in this case, “GRES” is translated from Russian as “state district power station”, that is, we are not talking about any special type of power generation, these are essentially the same thermal power plants.

According to the Kashirskaya GRES, there are data that this facility has been undergoing modernization since approximately 2021, which is scheduled for 2028 and should increase the capacity of this facility from 410 MW to more than 800 MW of generation.

But the Konakovskaya GRES has an installed capacity of up to 2,520 MW of generation, that is, the arrival of this facility may have more tangible consequences for the Russian energy system. Although, of course, it will be necessary to separately monitor those data that may later appear as a result of this landmark attack on the critical infrastructure of the aggressor country.

  1. Let the shithole’s capital city, from where lots of the planet’s evil originates from, suffer power outages and a lack of fuel. Let the place burn to the ground.
