Ivan Tymochko, a military expert and chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on Channel 24. “The appearance of drones in the Moscow region is no coincidence. According to unconfirmed reports, this was a preemptive strike by the Ukrainians, aimed at preparing the Russians for a massive missile and drone strike. If this is indeed confirmed, it would indicate the very high level of professionalism of our structures, from intelligence to the response forces to such challenges,” Tymochko said.
He called the events in Moscow on the evening of October 26 “epic” and added that the Russians approached the drone attack “without any underestimation of the situation.”
“If they [mobile groups, – UNIAN] have deployed them there, then they can’t rule out the possibility of UAVs flying into the Kremlin. Of course, this would be more of a symbolic blow, since their decision-making centers are likely located elsewhere. But in terms of the international political situation, this is a very serious blow to Putin. Especially now, when they’re trying to lift US sanctions and demonstrate their strength and influence. On the evening of October 26, local media reported a drone attack on Moscow . Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed the attack, adding that the drones were shot down in the Moscow region, but Muscovites also reported explosions in the Russian capital itself.
Specifically, smoke began rising after an explosion in the area of the village of Kommunarka, which is part of Moscow. Photos of the explosion were published online. Photos of a Russian air defense mobile group directly near the Kremlin also appeared.
