The sort of signal Russia would understand…

OCT 11
As the Russian summer offensive grinds down and awaits another cold winter, Russia once again resorts to sending large numbers of missiles and drones into Ukrainian cities.
There have been some very small territorial gains by Russia this year but these grinding and expensive advances into Donbas and Luhansk make very little strategic difference to the war.
Ukrainian innovation continues to take the advantage. They now have thermite drones that can burn a trenchline, a storage area or even a forest in minutes. Rather than rely on western technology they have developed their own long range weapons that can reach beyond Moscow. The success of air defence is twofold, how much gets shot down, in contrast to how much gets through. Ukraine is getting through.
When Ukraine strikes at Russian oil refineries, Putin called this ‘an act of international terrorism.’ Surely this must be the ultimate act of hypocrisy!
Since Putin launched his ‘Special Military Operation’ which was intended to last three days, he has taken an estimated 1,100000 casualties, forced the world to impose sanctions on his people, set his once wealthy nation well on the path to bankruptcy, lost his intelligencia in mass emmigration and, (for icing on the cake), had an international arrest warrant imposed on him and his leadership group for war crimes.
Apart from the tragic fact that thousands are unnecessarily dying in combat every day, it appears to many pundits the war is stagnating. They couldn’t be more wrong! The war isn’t only taking place on battlefields, it is being won in government meetings, in commitments to continue support for Ukraine, in banks, in sanctions and in public support. Russia for the first time is importing gasoline and it is using its gold reserves to buy weapons.
Putin is creating disturbances across Europe by flying unidentified drones over airports and flying across international borders. Such actions are currently little more than inconveniences, provided no one overreacts. The mission for everyone must remain victory for Ukraine. It would however, be appropriate to shoot down Russian jets in NATO airspace. That’s the sort of signal Russia would understand.
Where we in the west still risk losing to Putin, is in negative, disinterested, slanted and frankly, dangerous propaganda repeated by corporate media outlets including national news companies and television stations. Some of course are funded by Russia others simply place their short term profits ahead of the murdered people of Ukraine.
It is not only the responsibility of journalists to report news. It is their job to report news responsibly!
Slava Ukraini!

Fuck the government meetings and other assorted bureaucracy. Ukraine have brought mafia land to its knees on its own. Weak sanctions did not work, Ukrainian style sanctions have mafia land just where they want them.
As I always say, the support provided by the disunited, recalcitrant allies consistently runs at 20% of what it needs to be to drive the scum out.
The only time that it was different was at the beginning, when they only had Boris. Biden then set out in an OpEd “what I will and won’t do for Ukraine”, which was really helpful : for putler.
Nevertheless, Ukraine is only still fighting because of the help it received.
Now there are signs that Ukraine will get access to c. $140 billion putinaZi cash, which will help.
Plus of course Ukraine’s domestically produced long range fires will start hitting some high value targets.
Robin sees it as his job always to put out “glass half full” material to boost morale.
It works ok for me!
“It is not only the responsibility of journalists to report news. It is their job to report news responsibly!”
Responsible? Sadly, Western news providers are not responsible. The vast majority of people across the free world have no idea all what’s really going on in Ukraine. All the more about Gaza, though.
