Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said the country condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and calls for a cessation of hostilities.

As the diplomat said on his Twitter page, Israel will not be a way around the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and other countries.

“The Israeli Foreign Ministry is coordinating issues with partners, including the Bank of Israel, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Airport Authority, the Ministry of Energy and others,” Lapid wrote.

He stressed that there can be no justification for violating the country’s territorial integrity and killing civilians.
