The military reports several groups in the east, west, south and center of the region.
On Sunday evening, June 8, the Sumy region came under a massive drone attack by Russian occupiers .
Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin wrote on his Telegram channel at 21:19 that there had never been such a massive attack on the region. “The entire sky in the region is red from targets. This has never happened before. There are about 5 more in our direction from different directions (north).”
An air raid alarm was also declared in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovograd, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions.
According to the latest data from the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces, several groups of UAVs are recorded in the east, west, south and center of Sumy region. Drones are also recorded in Chernihiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions.
Threat of massive shelling
Let us recall that several days ago, People’s Deputy Roman Kostenko warned that the Russian occupation army was preparing a new massive attack on Ukraine . He assumed that it could be carried out on the night of June 6.
The attack could be comprehensive, using Iskander missiles, Shahed combat drones and Tu-95 bombers.
In an evening video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Ukrainians to respond to air raid sirens in the coming days.
Meanwhile, monitoring channels report that massive shelling could occur as early as this night.
