The destruction of this plant complicates the production of components for cruise and ballistic missiles, which are then flown to Ukraine.

On the night of November 7, missile forces from the Neptune coastal missile systems struck the enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex JSC Proton-Electrotex in Orel.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “A target was hit, a fire broke out on the territory of the facility, and explosions were heard,” the report says.
The General Staff added that the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

JSC “Proton-Electrotex” is a leading Russian manufacturer of optoelectronic equipment and devices of a full production cycle. The company’s products include modules for Kh-71 “Kover” cruise missiles and switch-inverters for 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
“The destruction of the enterprise complicates the production of components for cruise and ballistic missiles, with which the Russian army strikes Ukrainian cities,” the General Staff emphasized.
