According to him, the Russian Federation’s ability to wage war will depend on its availability of resources to wage this war.

Ukraine should not hope for the return of the 1991 borders, as the Russian Federation has the resources to continue the war. As an UNIAN correspondent reports, this was stated by the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ambassador of Ukraine to London Valeriy Zaluzhny during the forum on the export of arms and military equipment “Export of Security: Ukrainian Technological Weapons in the World”.
“I hope that there are no people in this hall who are still hoping for some miracle, some miracle, some “white swan” that will bring peace to Ukraine, the borders of 1991 or 2022, and after that there will be great happiness in Ukraine. In my personal opinion, the enemy still has the resources, forces, and means to strike at our territory and attempt individual offensive actions,” Zaluzhny said.
According to him, Russia’s ability to wage war will depend entirely on its availability, first and foremost, of the resources to wage this war. He noted that since late 2023-early 2024, Russia has been waging a war of attrition.
In his opinion, winning the war is only possible through the complete destruction of Russia’s very ability to wage this war. He said:
“I mean the destruction of its military-economic potential, first of all. In our current conditions – and for us, this is a huge shortage of human resources and the catastrophic economic situation in which we find ourselves. We can only talk to you about a high-tech war for survival, where a minimum of human resources, a minimum of economic means are used to achieve maximum benefit. Ukraine is not capable of another war in the conditions of demography and economy and cannot even think about it.”
