Footage has emerged of a Russian Iskander missile strike on the RoseMarie restaurant in Kryvyi Rih on April 4. Russia claims that the restaurant was allegedly “hosting a meeting between military commanders and Western instructors.” However, this information is not true, writes France 24 .

The published footage shows employees and patrons of the establishment. It is clear that there were no military personnel in the restaurant.

“The Russians say they shot at soldiers, but there are no soldiers here. It’s just horrible. So many children have died,” a former soldier named Oleg, who lives near the playground hit by a Russian missile, told reporters.

The publication’s correspondent Gulliver Cragg also denied that there were any military personnel in the restaurant. Moreover, the owner of the establishment, Valeria Belikova, shared with reporters that a meeting of beauty masters was taking place inside the building that day.

“We had just received manicure and pedicure masters. We were sitting outside, talking, and heard an explosion. At first I didn’t feel it, I just saw that Lydia was covered in blood,” recalled Belikova, who was sitting in the restaurant courtyard with her friend at the time of the explosion.

In the footage published by the French publication, you can see Valeria and her friend sitting in the restaurant. The journalists also noted that the restaurant building stood firm, although in Russia they say that the missile allegedly hit the establishment. In reality, the shock wave fell mostly on the children’s playground, which is located nearby.

Local residents, speaking to journalists, suggested that the occupiers inflicted such a brutal blow because Kryvyi Rih is the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
