The Russians are preparing a new massive strike on the territory of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his evening video address published on the Telegram channel .
He urged Ukrainians to be careful when air alerts are announced in the country.
“There is information from intelligence that the Russians are preparing a new massive strike: drones to deplete air defense and missiles. They want to take advantage of the cold. This strike may take place in the coming days,” Zelensky said and urged people to protect themselves and the country.
“Oreshnik” strike on Ukraine
As UNIAN reported, on the night of January 9, the Russian occupiers launched an Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile at Lviv. According to Yuri Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, this is how Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to intimidate NATO countries.
Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stressed that Russia used Oreshnik to send a signal to NATO member states to stop supporting Ukraine.
