At the same time, the Turkish Foreign Ministry recommends that its citizens not visit the eastern regions of Ukraine “unnecessarily”.
The ministry noted that Ankara is closely monitoring the security situation in Ukraine. “In this regard, we recommend citizens not to visit the border areas in eastern Ukraine without special need. Turkish citizens need to take all necessary steps to ensure personal safety, and if necessary, contact the Turkish Embassy in Kiev,” the message says.
