This information still requires official confirmation.

The head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Dmitry Pletenchuk , notes that there is a possibility that the Russian occupiers have lost their last cruise missile carrier in Crimea.

He said this on air at the telethon, answering the question about what the Russian Black Sea Fleet lost in the port of Sevastopol – what was hit there.

“Perhaps all the personnel were amazed. They are very amazed now… We are verifying the rest of the information as of now. But of course, there is a possibility that the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea lost the last carrier of cruise missiles,” Pletenchuk noted.

He emphasized that this information has not yet been confirmed, so it is necessary to wait for official data

Ukraine sank another ship in Crimea – what is known

Earlier, the Russian Telegram channel “Spy Dossier” wrote that during an attack on Russian-occupied Sevastopol, the Russian small missile ship “Cyclone” could have been sunk .

According to the Telegram channel, on the night of May 19, the Project 22800 ship Karakurt was in the port. The Ukrainian army hit it with two ATACMS ballistic missiles.

As a result of the strike, six servicemen of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were killed and another 11 people were injured. The ship itself sank.

  1. This means the Russian Black Sea Fleet is technically defeated!
    SLAVA UKRAINA, HEROYAM SLAVA!

    • Sorry, not so fast, Veth. A look at the list of Baltic Sea Fleet vessels shows that there’s probably 2 Admiral Grigorovich-class frigates, 3 Buyan-M class corvettes and 4 Kilo-class submarines left, all capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles. So, I don’t really understand what this announcement is about. Maybe all Karakurt-class corvettes have been destroyed or are inactive now, which would be a great success, but that’s still only one step on the way of eliminating the threat by the Baltic Sea Fleet. 🤔

      • Ah, I guess we have to read carefully: “there is a possibility that the Black Sea Fleet in CRIMEA lost the last carrier of cruise missiles”. So, those other ships, except the submarines, are probably in NovorossyIsk, where they may be outside the range of their Kalibr missiles. The Russian navy can still send them out, though, if they dare. Must be a dilemma for the recently appointed fleet admiral: He can’t afford to lose yet another ship, but if he just lets them sit in the harbor, without conducting missions, he may get fired. Damned if he do, damned if he doesn’t, really! 😈

  2. And with the fleet defeated, it is high time to look at the bridge. The goodies must be there.

  3. Thinking more about the Black Sea Fleet, i guess the next step of the Ukrainian Navy will be to deploy sub-hunting drones. Two types are needed for that: Unarmed drones to deploy sonar buoys (Nato must have lots of them) and relay the data collected, and drones armed with the well suited Mk 46 lightweight torpedo (should also be no problem for Nato), closing in for the kill. I hope we’ll read about the first sinking of a Russian sub by Ukraine soon!
