There are already 10 dead people in Sumy: Zelenskyi showed a video from the place where the house was hit

As a result of the Russian terrorist attack on the city of Sumy, there are not only wounded, but also dead Ukrainians.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this in his Telegram channel. He released a video from the State Emergency Service showing a serious fire. A rescue operation is underway at the site of the impact on the nine-story building:

Updated at 11:30 p.m. : The death toll has risen to 10, with 51 more injured. The windows of six ten-story buildings were damaged, and four cars were destroyed. An apartment-by-apartment inspection of all damaged buildings is being conducted.

Updated at 11:00 p.m .: The prosecutor’s office reported the ages of the dead children – the Russians killed a 9-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. Three children are among the 20 injured local residents.

Updated at 10:45 p.m .: Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko writes that more than 400 people have already been evacuated from the building damaged by the occupiers:

“As of now, information has been received about 8 dead, including 2 children. Several dozen injured. The information is constantly being updated. Apartment-by-apartment patrols are underway in all high-rise buildings damaged by the impact.”

Updated at 10:20 p.m .: The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports eight dead, including a child, and ten wounded. According to the investigation, the blow was inflicted around 20:37.

At least 10 high-rise buildings and vehicles were damaged. A pre-trial investigation is being conducted on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

“For now, we know about the dead and wounded, among whom there are children. My condolences to the families and loved ones. The criminal must be punished for killing innocent people.”
