This is a breaking news! Russian decorated general responsible for the invasion of southern Ukraine Ivan Popov who publicly and openly stood up last July and spoke the truth of this criminal war in the High Command meeting, was a arrested a few hours ago.
First, he was fired from the job last July, right after his public speech and sent to Syria for a minor job. He’s be arrested right then if not for his regiments; the solders filmed a speech threatening another mutiny if their general is harmed. So he was left alone but not forgotten and certainly not forgiven by Putin.
Almost one year later General Ivanov is arrested on theft charges. Most likely he is much feared by the leadership and will be isolated, punished and made example to the others. Hey, if you are Russian general, you cannot go against the party line and start speaking the truth! What kind of example is that for other Russian generals? What if they all start speaking the truth? Where would it lead to?
