The War Isn’t a Tie—Here’s Why Russia Is Quietly Losing

Joni Askola

In today’s video, I break down common misconceptions: that the war in Ukraine is a tie, or that russia is even winning. It’s not. russia is actually losing the unprovoked war it started—quietly, and in ways many people don’t notice. That’s partly because russian propaganda has been effective at creating the illusion of success. But this illusion works mostly because people don’t understand how success in war is measured: by whether a country achieves its initial strategic objectives. And by that standard, Ukraine is much closer to its goals than russia is.

Still, the war is far from over. For Ukraine to stay on track—and for russia to continue failing—Europe must do four key things:

1) Continue to provide long-term financial support to Ukraine
2) Place large, sustained orders for military equipment destined for Ukraine
3) Invest heavily in Ukraine’s own defense industry
4) Tighten and enforce sanctions on russia

If we do that, we can ensure russia never reaches its objectives. What do you think? Are there other steps Europe should take?

  1. Every russian propagandist should be forced to watch this video, and try to prove him wrong. One statement he made, hits the nail on the head.

“Imagine the US in Iraq, and controlling 11% less territory than it did at the start of the war, 3.5 years back” This is without the US going on a war economy, or dragging in every terrorist shithole to help them.

    • Countless ruskie trolls or pro-ruskie pricks try to make it sound as if mafia land is “in the driver’s seat” or is “on the front foot” or “has the upper hand”, yet utterly fail to explain why it has less territory now than at the start of the war, or why a three-day-war has lasted three and a half years. They simply fade away when confronted with these facts.

  2. And without the US maiming 1,000,000 of its population. The problem with orcish propagandist is they are type A, think they can do no wrong, are dumb to reality, and are brainwashed themselves. Let the head eating the tail begin!
