Democrats and most Republicans did not support the Marjorie Taylor Green amendment.
On June 13, the majority of Republicans, together with Democrats, voted against the amendment of MP Marjorie Taylor Green (Georgia) to the annual defense budget, which provided for the prevention of any funds being directed to help Ukraine , writes The Hill .
It is noted that the decision in the House of Representatives was supported by 74 politicians (all Republicans), 343 were against. The majority of Republicans – 138 – voted “against”.
The Green Amendment concerned the National Defense Appropriations Act (NDAA). It was stated that “no funds provided by this law can be used to help Ukraine.” House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Alaska), however, objected, noting that the NDAA does not include any funds for Ukraine.
He noted that the amendment would stop funding the presence of Marines at the US Embassy in Kyiv and would not allow the Ministry of Defense to monitor US weapons systems already in Ukraine. He urged committee members to vote against her.
Green also noted that the NDAA provides nearly $300 million for the Defense Cooperation Agency, which she said funds Ukraine.
After the vote, Green said she wasn’t surprised by the vote for her amendment: “I didn’t expect it to pass, the whole conference didn’t support me. But I stand firm and the vast majority of the American people don’t want their money going to Ukraine”.
It is worth noting that Green has previously spoken out against the provision of aid to Ukraine, in particular, when voting was held for the draft law on financing Ukraine. Then she made absurd corrections to it.

Why DUMA-member Marjorie Taylor Green is still not fired?
The downside of freedom of speech. Even idiotic mirin’s can speak whatever they want.
Because she’s from a deep-red district in Georgia, and her constituents support her. They went 75% from trumpkov in 2020; they must like crazy.
“I didn’t expect it to pass, the whole conference didn’t support me. But I stand firm and the vast majority of the American people don’t want their money going to Ukraine”.
Obviously the vast majority don’t support you. Now go and exchange your rubles before they reach 200 to the dollar.
“I didn’t expect it to pass, the whole conference didn’t support me. But I stand firm and the vast majority of the American people don’t want their money going to Ukraine”.
What is this majority that opposes the one who speaks in the House? The representatives chosen by citizens to go to Washington must be respected in their choice, if we want to respect the choice of (the majority of) citizens.
The populist shift of these legislative terrorists who deny democratic realities announces the major changes that their camp wants to implement through their seizure of power. US has been warned.
Matryoshka Taylor Greene exudes anti-Ukrainian hatred from every pore of her skin.
This virago suffers from verbal incontinence that borders on flooding.
Poor headline. The USA didn’t want to block aid to Ukraine. The pro-ruSSia MAGAt Republicans want to block aid to Ukraine.
Yes, Larry, the headline is way off target.
