Even 300 PAC-3 missiles for Patriot will not be able to protect Ukrainian skies from Russian terror, and the US currently does not have such a stockpile of missiles to transfer to Ukraine.

This was stated by former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly in an interview with journalist Iryna Romaliyska, Censor.NET reports .

He noted that the vote on the sanctions package, which Lindsey Graham lobbied for, will be in September.

“There is a request for 300 PAC-3 missiles, there is talk about licenses for this production. This is all written with a pitchfork on the water in reality. We can talk about this for years,” Chaly emphasized.

According to him, the estimate that Ukraine needs 300 Patriot missiles to get through the winter is incorrect.

“We need not only 300 missiles. We are talking about additional capabilities to shoot down ballistic missiles. But we will not close Ukraine, even 300 PAC-3 missiles will not close the sky.

“They are using anti-ship missiles. “Onyx” will fly, or other missiles. They will use the S-400 to simply terrorize. This winter it will be more about terror against people,” the former ambassador to the US emphasized.

Therefore, according to Chaly, these 300 missiles will not solve the issue. 

The US doesn’t have that many missiles.

He noted that 300 missiles will not be given to Ukraine because the United States does not have them. 

“Nothing has stopped in the Middle East. Lockheed Martin hasn’t heard of a new plant opening in the last month. You can try to cooperate with the Germans, the Germans can produce PAC-3 more actively. 

“If the president makes a request for 300 missiles, then he has reasons for this. He doesn’t do it for the next month, it’s probably divided in time somehow. Maybe it’s about deploying some preliminary contracts for Ukraine.
