This bill was proposed to senators after they blocked consideration of an agreement to strengthen the American border, which also included issues of Ukraine.

The US Senate voted to consider a 95 billion deal to help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan . The Senate must now vote on the bill again. A minimum of 60 votes is required for its approval.

Note that we must remember that this is not a final decision. From this moment on, the process of putting up for consideration the issue of aid ($95 billion) to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in the US House of Representatives will begin.

The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, reacted to this.

“Historic vote. I am deeply grateful to the Senate for its determination in defending our values and independence. This is an important step in strengthening our joint struggle for peace and freedom. I am confident that together we are capable of great achievements,” he wrote.

    • I don’t see that at all. How I see it:

      1. President Biden proposed aid.

      2. Republicans said, “No aid without border agreement”

      3. Senators spent 4 months working out an agreement on the border, which gave Republicans far more than they wouldn’t have gotten if they weren’t holding Ukrainian aid hostage.

      4. Trump said, “No border agreement – I want to use that as a way to attack Biden.”

      5. Republicans said, “The boss has spoken – forget about that deal we demanded.”

      6. Chuck Schumer said, “OK then, how about the aid package without the border deal?”

I don’t see Zaluzhny’s resignation having anything to do with it.
