The United States Senate has finally approved a $40 billion emergency military and humanitarian aid package for Ukraine.
As Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, said, this is a historic vote.
“The US Senate has approved a bill to allocate nearly $40 billion in emergency military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine,” he said.
Yermak added that the package was approved by a majority of votes and now it will be sent to the White House for the signature of the US President.
“We are moving towards victory confidently and strategically. Thanks to the allies. Everything will be Ukraine,” the head of the President’s Office stressed.

$40 billion works out to $121 for every American to pay to help keep Ukraine safe. I think it is well worth it and the Republicans nor anyone else should worry about accounting for the money now that the USA has an ambassador in Kyiv. It will be accounted for and I hope there aren’t any green energy or transsexual deals in it…
FDR gave the equivalent in today’s money of $300bn to Russia in WW2 when they switched sides. None was repaid.
Britain received a large amount too, but until quite recently was still paying it back. Every penny was paid. I expect Ukraine will pay too eventually.
What needs to occur in the US is a change of heart in the population. The evangelists, who all support the GOP, love Israel and consider the $billions sent to them each year a vital investment. They and all American need to feel the same way about Ukraine.
Unfortunately there is a chance that the GOP will nominate Trump again in 2024. I sincerely hope that won’t happen, because nazi loving turds like Carlson will yet again be on the ascendancy and be poisoning the minds of Americans against Ukraine.
America, Britain, the EU and others need to be putting in excess of $100bn/year into Ukraine for defence alone.
