A test launch of an American intercontinental ballistic missile was carried out.
On Tuesday, June 4, the United States launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Minuteman III , it launched from the Vandenberg base, which is located in California.
This was reported by the press service of the US Space Forces Command. The test launch was conducted against the backdrop of heightened tensions in relations between the United States and Russia, in particular, due to the continuation of Russian aggression against Ukraine. However, the Americans themselves claim that “the tests are not the result of current world events.”
“This test launch is part of regular and periodic activities aimed at demonstrating that the United States’ nuclear deterrent is safe, reliable and effective in deterring 21st century threats and reassuring our allies,” the official statement said.
What you need to know about the Minuteman III ICBM – help
The Minuteman III is a fairly old missile that has been in service since 1970. As of 2023, it remained the only mine-based intercontinental ballistic missile in US service.
Minuteman III can be used to strike the territory of Russia: in open sources, the range of the missile is indicated at 14,000 km. It is also worth adding that the Minuteman III has been modernized several times. One of the last rocket tests was conducted in the fall of 2023 .
Is nuclear war possible – news worth knowing
It will be recalled that recently the famous American writer and journalist Annie Jacobsen described the likely development of nuclear war in her new book “Nuclear War: The Scenario”.
In the scenario, North Korea launches a surprise missile attack on the United States, prompting Washington to launch dozens of Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles in response.

Yawn. The US did not launch full support for Ukraine, so who gives a fuck about this show?
Just a little warning to Putler, that even our old missiles work.
As usual Mike is bitching about the U.S. lack of support. How about this Mike , the U.S. pulls out of Ukraine altogether and let
you burn?
The test is to show strength should Russia make an attack on the U.S. and second to make sure these things are still in working order.
Better to show strength and kick RuSSia’s ass while still in Ukraine.
Without the US’s support you’d be wiping there ass.
Despite your horriffic command of English, what do you want from me, muthafucker?!
How about quit your bitching and be grateful you’re getting any help at all from the U.S. and its allies. Without our help Ukraine would have been taken over long ago.
