In particular, this decision was influenced by the successful use of these systems during the war in Ukraine.

The US Army has refused to develop new interceptor missiles for its Patriot air defense systems , as demand for these systems and ammunition for them is only growing, writes Newsweek .

The military had planned to build a next-generation interceptor missile for the Patriot, but decided not to move forward, said Maj. Gen. Frank Lozano, who directs the Army’s Missile and Space Capabilities Development Office.

In an interview with Defense News, Lozano said the Army will continue to upgrade the latest version of the missiles currently being produced by the Patriot system.

“The Patriot ground-based missile defense system is one of the most advanced air defense systems in the United States. It is considered the gold standard, but there are relatively few of them,” Newsweek noted.

Lozano emphasized that the PAC-3 MSE is “arguably the best air defense missile in the world.” He said the Army “will continue to develop this capability to ensure it remains relevant to meet emerging threats.”

The major general emphasized that last year the US Army received a better understanding of the capabilities of the PAC-3 MSE missiles from reports provided by Ukraine.

  1. “The major general emphasized that last year the US Army received a better understanding… from reports provided by Ukraine.”

So how do we thank Ukraine…by continuing to be fuckin useless cowards.

    • As you said, prior to the delivery of Patriot systems to Ukraine, the US didn’t know they could knock out Vladolf’s hypersonic hospital destroyers. Ukrainian targeting or some other Ukrainian technique made it happen. Yeah, thanks Ukraine but no more provocations, please………..
