The US Department of Defense is involved in the process of delivering hundreds of thousands of artillery weapons, thousands of missiles and hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden has announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth nearly $2.5 billion, according to a statement on the White House website.

“Today, I am proud to announce nearly $2.5 billion in security assistance to Ukraine as the Ukrainian people continue to defend their independence and freedom from Russian aggression,” the statement said.
Biden’s package includes $1.25 billion in military aid taken from U.S. stockpiles and a $1.22 billion Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) package, the last USAI package of Biden’s time in office.
It is noted that this assistance “will provide Ukraine with an immediate influx of capabilities that it will continue to use effectively on the battlefield, as well as long-term supplies of air defense systems, artillery and other critical weapons systems.”
The statement also notes that the United States will continue to work to strengthen Kyiv’s position in the war until the end of Biden’s term.
“The Ministry of Defense is in the process of delivering hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of missiles and hundreds of armored vehicles that will strengthen Ukraine’s position ahead of winter,” the statement said.
