The exchanges against the Russian bank itself will be deprived of decorum.

The US Department of the Treasury has updated its sanctions list, including from this list the largest high-ranking Russian bank, Sberbank. You can find out more about this on the department’s website.

Recently, with updated data, Oleksandra Buriko, who previously imprisoned the senior vice president and intercessor of the head of the board of Sberbank, was removed from the list of sanctioned individuals.

Buriko was subject to sanctions in 2022 when Washington expanded the “black list” to include even more top managers of Sberbank. The US Treasury explained that they were going to limit the bank’s ability to financially support Russia’s war against Ukraine.

At the same time, Sberbank itself continues to be subject to US sanctions imposed by the beginning of 2022. They are transferring the freezing of assets from the United States and the protection of any business transactions with American companies and companies.

The US Department of the Treasury stated that the exclusion of a particular person from the list does not change the sanctioned status of the bank, but rather reflects the change in the personal warehouse of interim entries.
