Kuleba and Blinken discussed next steps in the coming days and weeks to unlock additional U.S. aid for Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba says the United States is immediately responding to Ukraine’s call for additional Patriot air defense systems . The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced this following a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Brussels.
Kuleba met with Blinken to express gratitude to the United States for all the assistance it has provided to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression.
“I briefed US Secretary of State Blinken on Russia’s escalating air terror against Ukrainian cities and communities, including the use of ballistic missiles, and called on our American partners to find opportunities to provide additional Patriot air defense systems as soon as possible. I thank the US Secretary of State for immediately reciprocity measures taken to respond to this call,” Kuleba emphasized.
Additionally, Kuleba and Blinken discussed next steps in the coming days and weeks to unlock additional U.S. aid for Ukraine.
“Today’s meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council demonstrated that all NATO allies are aware of how pressing this issue is. We all need it resolved as quickly as possible,” Kuleba said.

That makes sense, since the US can’t deliver these systems, even if Biden and Blinken wanted to, because of the Trumpists’ blockade in Congress. Other Western allies need to take over and Germany will do so. Firstly, by purchasing such batteries wherever possible on short notice, but in the longer run, by developing a European long range anti-air system. Either an upgrade of Samp/T or of Iris-T, with additional boosters. Since Europe can’t rely on the politically crippled US anymore, this is unavoidable. 😕
Why send more patriots, the raschists will just send more missiles? Is it not better to hit the launch sites?
Or perhaps do both…get the patriots AND destroy the launch sites
