Russian diplomats will have their “tax exemption cards” taken away.
The US is closing the Russian visa center and depriving Russian diplomats of tax privileges. As Radio Liberty reports , this was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
According to the ambassador, both branches of the visa center – in Washington and New York – will close. Antonov complained that “now an additional burden falls on the shoulders of Russian diplomats and consuls.”
In addition, he said that Russian diplomats would have their “tax exemption cards” taken away, calling this a “petty, nasty attack” on the part of the United States.
According to him, the American administration did not explain its decision in any way.
The diplomat also noted that Russia would consider possible retaliatory measures.
