The United States promises to prevent the Kremlin from using natural gas as a geopolitical weapon against Ukraine.

This is stated in a joint statement on the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine and the United States continue to oppose Nord Stream-2, which we see as a threat to European energy security.
