He noted that the country, which has many of these systems, is today discussing “very important” topics on the domestic agenda.
Advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, Mikhail Podolyak, said that all Patriot air defense systems transferred to Ukraine were either from Germany or with the help of Germany.

“And let’s say a big, big thank you to Germany. It changed the entire paradigm of its relations both towards Russia and towards this war. And over the last year it has significantly increased its military assistance packages,” he said in an interview with Channel 24.
According to him, Germany directly understands that it is necessary to further close the sky.
“Germany also cannot do all this on its own, given the number of missiles, the number of drones that Russia uses in this war, and the territory that needs to be protected. This is obvious. And given the number of objects that belong to civilian or critical infrastructure. But Germany I would like to emphasize once again that it has significantly increased its budgets. Today it performs, in my opinion, a key leadership function in closing the skies in Ukraine. But it cannot cope on its own. Just as other countries that have much less ability to provide us with anti-missile defenses will not cope systems. I mean the countries of Northern Europe. They are much smaller in terms of resources, from a military point of view, smaller geographically, and so on,” Podolyak said.
He noted that the country, which has many of these systems, is today discussing “very important” topics on the domestic agenda.
“Some kind of war in Ukraine… This should probably worry someone else? They shouldn’t care. What about the reputation? They will then make several dozen films about Hollywood, how they save humanity. And this will all be easier,” he added.
Additional Patriot for Ukraine
Ukraine needs additional air defense systems and has identified about 100 Patriot batteries around the world that could potentially be made available. However, some countries are resisting even the transfer of one of their systems to Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
A single Patriot battery costs $1 billion. Last summer, Kyiv received its first batteries. But the three that we currently have are not enough to protect the entire country from powerful air attacks from Russia.

Oh FFS.
But, but, remember the generous gift of highly valuable (according to Pentagon bookkeepers) spare parts for the Hawk systems, which are state of the art (of the 1960s)! Ok, neither Spain nor the US know how to make those golden oldies to work properly, but the Ukraine’s excellent technicians sure will find a way! /ironic
😖
Putin must have compromat on Biden, Trump and the entire Congress. I have no other explanation why Rocky Balboa has become Ivan Drago…
Amid discussion of whether/when Speaker Mike Johnson will bring a Ukraine funding bill to the floor, the GOP majority just noticed that the Rules Committee will meet Monday to prepare the bills below for floor consideration in the House next week.
Sadly, this is not a joke.
Meeting Announcement for April 15, 2024
The Committee on Rules will meet Monday, April 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM ET in H-313, The Capitol on the following measures:

That’s right – instead of discussing aid to Ukraine, those Republican asshats will be talking about the HOOHA act.
Fact check: The HOOHA Act:

(Sorry, “Fact check” was me.)
(In case anyone is unaware – a “hoo-ha” is a slang term for a woman’s genitals.)
Refrigerator Freedom Act is a milestone in American history.
