The United States of America announced the launch of a special group that will search for and arrest the assets of the Russian elites and oligarchs, as well as the nominees they use.

Как сообщает “Голос Америки“, в ней примут участие США, Великобритания, Канада, Япония, Германия, Франция, Италия и Еврокомиссия.

От каждой из этих стран в состав группы войдут представители министерства финансов, министерства юстиции и министерства внутренних дел.

Минфин США уже предоставил участникам группы список из 50 человек, поиск активов которых является приоритетным для США. Из этого списка обнародованы фамилии 28 человек, находящихся под санкциями нескольких стран, включая США.

The members of the group discussed the effective application of sanctions against Russia, as well as assistance to third countries in identifying and freezing assets within their jurisdiction.

Separately, the issue of bringing to justice individuals and companies that help move and hide the assets of oligarchs who fell under sanctions was discussed.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Italian financial police recently arrested the villa of Russian oligarch  Pyotr Aven worth more than 4 million euros.
