US President Joe Biden has issued an executive order that prohibits the export, sale and supply of US dollar bills to Russia.

The new decree will allow in the future to impose restrictions on investment in any sector of the Russian economy, the White House added.

One of the points of the document is a ban on the export, re-export, sale or supply, directly or indirectly, from the United States or by an individual / legal entity of the United States, wherever it is, of banknotes denominated in US dollars, to the government of the Russian Federation or to any individual / legal entity located in RF.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 2,  the European Union banned the supply of euro banknotes to the Russian Federation . In particular, it is prohibited to sell, deliver, transfer or export euro banknotes to Russia or to any person or entity, company or institution in Russia, including the government and the Central Bank of Russia, or for use in Russia.
