On the night of March 5, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several important military installations belonging to Russian occupation forces. Ammunition depots, fuel reserves, command and control facilities, and military infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories and in the Russian border region were hit.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the results of the operation on its official channel. The statement stated that Defense Force units attacked a number of enemy targets on March 4 and the night of March 5.

The General Staff emphasized: “An ammunition depot and other important targets of the occupiers were hit.”

Attacks on logistics

According to military data, one of the affected facilities was an ammunition depot near Berdyansk in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast. A strike was also recorded at an ammunition unloading site in Gvardeyskoye in temporarily occupied Crimea.

In addition, the Defense Forces attacked Russian military logistics facilities. These included logistics depots in Berdyansk and Shevchenkivske in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia Oblast, as well as in Pryazovske in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. Near Mariupol, Ukrainian forces struck a fuel and lubricants depot.

Attacks on control

Ukrainian units also attacked facilities that provide command and control to Russian forces. Specifically, a command and observation post near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region was hit .

Separately, the military reported the destruction of an enemy drone control center in Murom, Belgorod Oblast, Russia. A communications tower in Primorsk, in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, was also attacked.

The General Staff noted that the extent of damage and other results of the strikes are being determined. Ukrainian military officials emphasized that the Defense Forces will continue to carry out strikes against military infrastructure, logistics, and command posts of the Russian occupation forces.

Air defense strikes

As a result of the operation, Ukrainian forces struck enemy air defense elements in the temporarily occupied territories. Specifically, a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system near Akimovka in the Zaporizhzhia region was hit.

A Tor anti-aircraft missile system was also hit near Volnovakha in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. Furthermore, the Defense Forces struck an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system launcher near Strilkove in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast.

Affected military facilities

Ukrainian Defense Forces units also struck other important Russian military installations. Specifically, the Iskander missile system concentration area of ​​the 12th Separate Missile Brigade near Kurortne in temporarily occupied Crimea was hit.

Additionally, the Vostochny training ground near Novopetrivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region, as well as an enemy manpower concentration area near Kolotilovka in the Belgorod region of Russia, were hit. Other targets hit included an ammunition storage depot near Novooleksiyivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

A separate strike was reported on a technical observation post on the Sivash jack-up drilling rig in the Black Sea. A Ka-27 helicopter was also destroyed during the operation, and the extent of the damage is being determined.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Ka-27 helicopter on the night of February 17. This successful operation took place in occupied Crimea.
