Only after reaching Ukrainian positions could the Russian landing force understand that they had fallen into a trap prepared for them, but it was already too late.

Fighters of the K-2 battalion of the 54th separate mechanized brigade repelled a Russian assault on one of the sections of the front. The Russians used motorcyclists, armored vehicles and infantry. The unit’s press service published an uncensored video of the battle on its Telegram channel.

Before storming the Ukrainian positions, the Russian command sent its sappers on motorcycles to clear mines from the area through which the armored vehicles were to travel.

However, the enemy sappers were immediately detected by aerial reconnaissance. They were met with fire by infantrymen of the K-2 battalion together with UAV operators who were dropping bombs on the occupiers.

Then a Russian MT-LB with troops drove towards the Ukrainian positions, which was burned by Ukrainian infantry from close range using rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders fired small arms and used drones at enemy infantry. A group of occupiers, having found themselves in Ukrainian trenches, found themselves under machine gun fire, and shells from drones fell on their heads.

“Having entered our trench, the Russian landing force could have realized that they had entered the same kill zone, a trap prepared for them in advance, but it was already too late,” noted the K-2 battalion of the 54th separate mechanized brigade.

After the unsuccessful assault, some Russian occupiers tried to escape, and then Ukrainian drones began to target them with drops.
