As a result of an attack by Ukrainian troops on the occupied Crimean peninsula, the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs was damaged .

As ASTRA reports , citing sources, on the night of March 23-24, 18 missiles were launched at Sevastopol. The Russians were able to shoot down 11 of them.

It is noted that two missiles hit the ship at once. There is currently no information about casualties.

“The military unit on Rudneva Street, the large landing craft Azov and Yamal, and the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs were damaged. According to ASTRA sources, the Ivan Khurs was hit by two missiles at once. The casualties are unknown,” the publication writes.

Attacks on the Russian fleet

As you know, this is not the first strike on this ship. In May 2023, the Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs was damaged . Ukrainian surface drones “Magura” hunted him for several hours. Then the Russian reconnaissance ship was carrying out a mission 120 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus Strait.

The British Ministry of Defense said that the Russian Black Sea Fleet has lost its “functional activity” as a result of the war against Ukraine, which was unsuccessful for the Kremlin.

Recently, two large landing ships – Yamal and Azov – were hit. According to military analysts , the Russians now have only 7 large landing ships left in the Black Sea.
