The threat exists because Russian aviation can travel long distances in a fairly short time and conducts operations from the territory of Belarus.

Speaker of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ilya Yevlash said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not exclude the possibility of air attacks from the territory of neighboring Belarus. In particular, because Russian troops were advancing from its territory at the beginning of a full-scale war.

“We have already seen how the so-called Belarusian “president” provided territory for the offensive of Russian troops during the start of a full-scale invasion. Of course, we do not rule out the use of aviation from their territory,” Yevlash emphasized on air at the “United News” telethon.

According to him, since Russian aviation can travel long distances in a fairly short time and conducts exercises on the territory of Belarus using its airfields, a threat exists.

“Of course, Belarus poses a threat – both missile and bomb attacks. We are ready for various developments, we monitor the movement of aircraft, their takeoffs, we use our intelligence data and partners,” the representative of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized.

Who is Ilya Yevlash?

Russian attacks on Ukraine: what is known

Let us recall that the Russian Federation has begun to fire at Ukraine with Kalibr less frequently; the Ukrainian Armed Forces named the reasons and threats. Natalya Gumenyuk reported that Russian occupiers began to use Kalibr missiles less to attack Ukraine due to difficulties with logistics in Russia.

Ilya Yevlash revealed the purpose of Russian shelling on Ukrainian territory in the spring. With such massive and combined strikes, the Russians are trying to deplete air defense systems and identify where missiles are being launched from. Massive shelling was expected in the fall and winter, but the occupiers resorted to attacks in the spring.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces warned of the threat of massive strikes. Natalya Gumenyuk pointed out that just on the eve of massive combined missile-bottom attacks, the enemy was withdrawing launch vehicles, in particular, underwater ones, into the Black Sea. The occupiers are trying to disperse the attention of the Air Defense Forces.

The entire situation in the north of Ukraine would change if Ukraine would conquer Belarus. This would open a whole new can of worms for the dirty roaches.

    • This would require more ammo and manpower than is available now. Also, this shouldn’t be a onesided move by Ukraine, but better a reaction to a real Belarussian aggression. But, indeed, the AFU should have a plan ready, just in case. 🤔

      • I’ve heard all those arguments before, Mr. Gray, and more.
However, don’t think that a war with Belarus would be anything like the one against mafia land. It would happen quickly and without the massive bloodletting, like what’s happening elsewhere. The Belarusian army would quickly collapse. Remember; Ukraine already has many thousands of soldiers, including equipment, sitting around uselessly along its northern border.
Besides all that, I’ve posted a couple of articles from Charter 97 before, in which Belarusian opposition have stated that they are wondering why Ukraine hasn’t attacked yet. They would welcome such a move. Thus, Ukraine should and would act together with Belarusian opposition and partisan forces and groups in such a case.
