At least 5,974 cases of Russia’s use of cluster munitions have been recorded in Ukraine.

According to Ukraine`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these munitions were used in attacks on Chernihiv, Kramatorsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and other cities, resulting in numerous civilian casualties, including children, and large-scale infrastructure destruction.

“Russian murderers are deliberately and systematically using cluster munitions to maximize civilian casualties and destruction. This is part of a systemic policy of terror that Moscow is implementing against the Ukrainian people,” the MFA emphasized.

105 rescuers have been killed and 502 injured in Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“Our country is waging a full-scale war against a treacherous, unprincipled aggressor — one that targets rescuers who are essentially unarmed,” said Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, spokesperson at the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
He added that during air raid alerts, all necessary security measures are implemented, but even so, there is no guarantee of people’s safety.

Earlier, Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, reported that the Russian army had attacked rescue workers in Ukraine nearly ten times within a single week — from May 26 to June 2.
