Several Russian soldiers participating in the invasion of Ukraine have resorted to cannibalism due to food shortages, The Sunday Times reports , citing Ukrainian military intelligence materials, including photographs and intercepted audio messages from around a dozen Russian officers. According to the publication, there are at least five cases in which “heroes of the SVO” ate their comrades.
One of the incidents occurred in November 2025 near Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region. According to the evidence provided, an infantryman with the call sign “Lame,” serving in the 95th Regiment of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army, killed two fellow soldiers and attempted to eat the leg of one of them. In a Telegram message, the unnamed officer reported this to Vladislav Razikov, deputy commander of the brigade’s reconnaissance battalion. He also transmitted images, including a photograph of the severed leg. According to The Sunday Times, the images were analyzed using specialized software, which revealed no signs of manipulation or manipulation.
An independent military surgeon who examined the image noted that the injuries did not resemble combat trauma and were likely inflicted by a sharp object. In audio messages, the officer describes the incident as an “incident,” claiming that the soldier was found in a basement attempting to butcher human flesh. He claims that during an attempt to detain him, he opened fire and was killed. The officer also complained that his soldiers were “on starvation rations” and severely emaciated.
Other intercepted conversations also mention instances of cannibalism. For example, in April of last year, a soldier with the call sign “Most” complained to his commander about a fellow soldier who, according to him, “ate human flesh.” In October 2025, the commander of the 1437th Motorized Rifle Regiment accused a subordinate of similar actions and demanded that he stop “eating people.” In another message, the chief of staff of the 55th Motorized Rifle Brigade issued an order explicitly banning cannibalism, along with alcohol and drugs.
The Ukrainian side also reported that an increasing number of captured Russian servicemen are reporting food shortages. Former US Navy captain and Rand Corporation employee Bradley Martin noted that reports of supply problems for the Russian army appear credible, noting that troop support is not a priority for the Russian command.

Why not? Every other creature in the warzone eats ruskies, so why not other ruskies, too?
Can someone please tell me why these idiots keep on fighting for this monster regime?
