On Monday, February 24, the storm Julia hit Odessa , the II ( orange) hazard level was announced . On the street Nezhinsky tree fell on a woman of 60 years. She died from her injuries on the spot.
The strength of the wind reaches 25−28 m / s, it collapses trees and tears off the roof. Public transport is intermittent. There is no electricity in homes in different areas of cities.
On Greek Street, a piece of slate fell onto a parked car. As of 13:00 a strong wind tumbled down 48 trees. In Pokrovsky Lane the tree was crushed by seven cars at once.
On Bolshoi Arnautskaya, the wind tore off a fragment of the balcony, and on Marazlievskaya a piece of stucco that fell off the house fell on a Hyundai Sonata car. The driver was in the cabin, but was not injured. The windshield is damaged.
The height of the waves on the Black Sea reaches 3-4 meters. The waters of the Hadzhibey estuary flood the Bypass Road.
