They are working fruitfully with the President of France.

The US State Department has almost made a frank admission that they are trying to convince French leader Emmanuel Macron not to consider the idea of sending Western troops to Ukraine .

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller commented on the topic with an emphasis that Washington is not going to send its international legion to Kyiv, and that they are working fruitfully with Macron in connection with the Ukrainian issue. He spoke about this to Western journalists at a briefing.

As you know, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is expected to visit Paris next week. France is a longtime ally of Washington, Miller recalled. Therefore, they will talk with Macron about Ukraine and other important issues.

The State Department representative did not release specific details of the meeting between Macron and Blinken to the media.

“I can’t comment on these reports and I’m not going to comment in detail on the meeting, but of course we made it clear that the United States is not going to send troops to Ukraine,” he said.

  1. Washington: No French troops to Ukraine. Ukraine has no right to attack Russian infrastructure. No weapons to Ukraine.
