The Kaliningrad Regional Court found the spouses from Kaliningrad Antonina Zimina and Konstantin Antonets guilty of high treason and sentenced them to 13 and 12 years in prison, respectively. This is reported by TASS, referring to the words of the father of the defendant Konstantin Zimin.

At the same time, lawyer Mikhail Baev told MBKh Media that Konstantin Antonets was given 12 years and six months of strict regime, and Antonina Zimina – 13 years of general regime. In addition, they were sentenced to fines of 100 thousand rubles and restriction of freedom for a year. The defense intends to appeal the verdict.

The spouses were accused of having revealed the identity of an operative of the Kaliningrad department of the FSB, Captain Maxim Denisenko, who was a guest at their wedding. After that, according to the investigation, Zimina and Antonets sent photographs of Denisenko from the celebration to representatives of Latvian intelligence. The couple did not admit their guilt.

The newspaper “Kommersant” reported that in the case of the spouses there is also a second episode – about the transfer of documents classified as “secret” to the Latvian intelligence service, which Antonets received while working as a lawyer at the Ministry of Economy of the Kaliningrad Region. Antonina Zimin’s father, Konstantin Zimin, argued that by the end of the trial, the prosecution did not insist on punishment for the first episode of the criminal case.
