The corresponding message appeared in the Russian group “Novosti Volgograd” . “Tragic news has arrived from the front. Our countryman Denys Oleksandrovych Lapin died heroically in the area of ​​the special military operation,” the post reads.

It is noted that on May 3, the command post in which Lapin was stationed was struck by a HIMARS rocket launcher system. “Denis was born on January 23, 1986 in Volgograd. He graduated from the General Military Academy of the Russian Armed Forces in 2019,” they added.
