The regime has huge problems.

Natalia Radina, editor-in-chief of Charter97.org said this in an interview with the YouTube channel of well-known journalist Evgeny Kiselev:

– The economy in Belarus is falling apart. The latest news I’ve been told by sources in Belarus: the situation in the economy is a mess. Prisons, by the way, are now filled with directors of enterprises and officials. A lot of judges, prosecutors and policemen are in jail. Everyone, especially law enforcers and officials, is charged with the article “treason against the motherland.”

This is, in fact, the 37th year. Repressions are being carried out against all segments of the population. What does this tell us? The regime’s fear, its insecurity, its realization that the whole society is against it. And the economy is very much affected by sanctions. After all, the main export item of this regime was oil products, which went to Ukraine and the West. Now these markets are gone.

Belaruskali is an absolute bankrupt. Because the markets have been lost. Potash from Canada goes to Brazil, while Russian potash goes to China and India. There are no ports for transportation of Belarusian potash. Previously, all potash went to Lithuania’s Klaipeda. Belarusians are not allowed to enter Ust-Luga because they are competitors for Russia on the world markets. As former employees of Belaruskali told me, the situation is deplorable.

Plus the equipment is getting outdated, which cannot be purchased in the West. Chinese equipment, for example, the same drilling rigs, are not comparable in quality with the German ones. And that is why today the city-forming enterprise, which sponsored a huge number of social projects in Belarus, including propaganda events, Lukashenko himself, is now bankrupt. This means that the sanctions are working. And it is necessary to continue the pressure on the regime.
