According to the publication, the Russian army has approached Pokrovsk to within 7-8 kilometers.

The situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region is catastrophic, said Bild open data analyst Julian Röpke.

The publication recalled that on Sunday the Donetsk Regional Military Administration announced the forced evacuation of families with children from Pokrovsk. Previously, 80 thousand people lived in the city. Now 53 thousand residents remain in the Pokrovsk district, including almost 4,000 elderly people.

According to Bild, the Russian occupiers have come within 7-8 kilometers of Pokrovsk. At the beginning of the year, it was 38 km.

“The Ukrainian authorities have ordered the evacuation of the city of Pokrovsk with its 65,000 inhabitants within two weeks. From Toretsk, 50 km to the northeast, 29,000 of the 32,000 former residents have fled. Even if I make myself unpopular again, the situation in Donbas is catastrophic. In this situation, I still consider it extremely risky to send 5,000 of the best soldiers to a neighboring country instead of conducting a counteroffensive there,” Röpke noted.

  1. Advance of 30 km…………………………by Russia, but invading Kursk was more important!!!!

    • a fuck i wrote a long comment about the strategy of the AFU, but it is deleted as I used my own name which RSM banned.

      Bottom line:
Ukraine uses strategic depth instead of holding on to positions forever like in Bakhmut to preserve personel. They aren’t abandoning Donbas, but are also no sitting sucks.

Donbas are mostly flat fields without cover, so any offensive is suicidal.

Meanwhile, AFU exploits weak spots and uses Kursk as a bargaining chip and to reduce pressure on hot spots like Donbas.

      ^banned muppet.

      • I fully agree. This is not a catastrophe, it is a necessity. The roaches are paying a high price and Ukraine is preserving their assets, and that’s what’s important for now, not razed real estate.

  2. “According to Bild, the Russian occupiers have come within 7-8 kilometers of Pokrovsk. ”

According to a more reliable source, the Deep State map, the orcs are at least 15 km from Pokrovsk, not 7-8 Km.

Get real! That’s around 4 km per month! How many meat puppets were slaughtered and how many armored vehicles, artillery, and other equipment was destroyed in the process?

  4. What if we’re all wrong and Russia could care less about the Kursh region. Russia has already captured the land along the Black Sea and a vast amount of natural resources within the area including ports.
Ukraine has taken the Kursch Region and also limited their own advancement into Russia by destroying the 3 bridges in the surrounding area. Now this area has to be cleared of Russian forces and guarded against future attacks tying up military resources.

The Pokrovsk region is an important strategic hub. if Russia takes this area it’s going to cut off supply lines to other areas of the front. It appears that Russia is focusing heavily on this area and not so concerned about the Kursk region at the moment.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

  5. UA lets orcs advance km by km while losing thousands in the process. If they would stop them in their tracks, they will move somewhere else. So it’s better to feed them illusions of victory and letting them digging their own graves. 1000+ orcs dead every day
