The shelling of the Odessa cemetery: several dozen graves were destroyed, a woman was injured

The Tairovskoye (Novo-Gorodskoye) cemetery in Odessa, which survived the rocket attack of the Russian Nazis, was visited by a Dumskaya correspondent.

This is another object that the invaders hit on April 23 with the so-called high-precision weapons.

As a result of the air strike, several dozen graves of Odessa citizens were destroyed, and in the middle of the site there is a gaping funnel with a diameter of more than five meters. A woman who was cleaning the grave of a relative was seriously injured. She was taken to one of the city’s medical institutions in a serious condition with lacerated wounds and concussion.

The townspeople are already coming to the churchyard to try to clean up the consequences of the explosion, but some of the graves have literally evaporated.

Anatoly’s mother-in-law’s grave was damaged.

“There is no monument, only a small part could be found,” the man says. – Galina Alexandrovna rests here, she was a real Odessa woman. Bastards and scum, what can I say. I can’t imagine what would have happened if this had happened at the end of the day.”

Oleg’s four relatives’ graves were demolished by an explosion.

“The monument to my grandfather was completely demolished,” says the man, who, ironically, lives not far from the damaged house. – At the end of spring they were going to put it to my grandmother, mother and father. But it’s not destiny.”

Recall that as a result of yesterday’s shelling of Odessa by Russian Nazi rockets, more than a thousand square meters were destroyed. m of the burial complex. The invaders also hit a residential high-rise building. Seven residents of the house were killed, including a three-month-old girl.

  1. Shelling a cemetery is better than an apartment block or Ukrainian military emplacements.
