The United States does not intend to back down from its claims regarding Greenland.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is convinced that the United States’ intention to establish control over Greenland , an autonomous territory of Denmark, differs from Russia’s annexation of Crimea in that America’s acquisition of the island better serves the interests of the United States and Europe.

During an interview with NBC News , Bessent was asked how the American annexation of Greenland would differ from Russia’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.

“I believe that Europeans will understand that this is better for Greenland, better for Europe and better for the United States,” Besent emphasized.

Separately, the US Treasury Secretary defended the proposal to impose tariffs on eight European countries that oppose President Donald Trump’s push to seize control of Greenland. Bessent emphasized that the goal is to avoid a future emergency.

“This is a strategic decision by the president. It’s a geopolitical decision, and he’s able to use the economic power of the United States to avoid a hot war,” Bessent said.

  1. Arrogant impudent insane assholes! Greenland NEVER belonged to the US, other than Crimea, which was at least in the past ruSSian – and even that does not justify the use of force. The Empire and its allies must show teeth now!

  2. “I believe that Europeans will understand that this is better for Greenland, better for Europe and better for the United States,”

The only country benefitting from this is mafia land. You want to destroy NATO, give them a free reign to attack Europe, while China controls Asia.
