The Russians staged a collective execution of prisoners near Bakhmut: at least 7 dead (video)

The video of the execution was published by the Ukrainian Ombudsman.

Russian occupiers shot another group of Ukrainian prisoners of war . The crime was committed on February 24 in the Bakhmut district, said Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets .

A drone video published by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights shows several Ukrainian military personnel surrendering. The footage clearly shows that the Ukrainians raised their hands up, showing that they do not have weapons and do not pose a threat.

“The Russians were supposed to take them prisoner, but instead they mercilessly shot them,” notes Lubinets.

According to him, the exact number of Ukrainians whom the Russians executed in this episode is unknown, but there were at least seven.

“Such an execution is a war crime! Now we also know from which military unit of the Russian army the soldiers who mercilessly executed the Ukrainians were from,” the ombudsman noted.

According to Lubinets, on this occasion he will immediately send official letters to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross so that these organizations record and publicly acknowledge the fact of the murder of Ukrainian prisoners by the Russian military.
