On the morning of September 28, explosions rang out in Sumy, acting the mayor of the city, Artem Kobzar, informed about the arrival of the “martyrs”.
“Today, September 28, in the morning, the enemy carried out an airstrike on a health care facility in Sumy, using an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Shahed type. For now, there are casualties. All necessary services are working on the spot,” he wrote in his Telegram.
Literally in a few minutes, Kobzar reported that a second airstrike had taken place. The enemy directed an unmanned aerial vehicle of the “Shakhed” type to the residential sector.
According to Suspilny, there are casualties in Sumy as a result of Russian strikes. Previously, it is known about two victims.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that as of now, the number of dead is 6 people.
“As a result of the first shelling, 1 person died, several floors of the hospital were destroyed. The evacuation of patients and staff began. To help people, rescuers and policemen arrived at the site of the shelling. At the same time, during the evacuation of the patients, the enemy struck again. As of now, it is known about 6 dead, including a policeman. One more policeman was injured,” the report said.
