The Russians could massively leave tanks with fuel in the Kharkiv region because of the Ukrainian origin of their commander

In a number of cases, entire tank companies of 10 tanks at once left military equipment, and, which is typical, not with empty tanks.

During the retreat in the Kharkov region, Russian troops abandoned about a hundred tanks unharmed.

According to scouts, in a number of cases, entire tank companies of 10 tanks at a time were left with military equipment and, which is typical, not with empty tanks. That is, the invaders had the opportunity to retreat on it.

In general, according to analysts of the international project Oryx, more than 200 units of undamaged equipment fell into the hands of Ukrainians.

Why did it happen so? According to the intelligence officers, in addition to the obvious motive – panic caused by the effective offensive of the Ukrainian forces – there is another one: among the officers of the 4th Tank Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Russian Armed Forces, there are a lot of ethnic Ukrainians, people with Ukrainian roots and relatives in Ukraine.

The commander of the 4th division, Colonel Yevgeny Zhuravlev, is also of Ukrainian origin. Therefore,  the joke about “Russian Lend-Lease” for Ukraine may not be such a joke after all.

On September 16, Volodymyr Zelensky  announced that almost the entire Kharkiv region had been de-occupied. On September 12, there was information that the Ukrainian defenders  had liberated almost 6 thousand square kilometers of the territory of our country from Russian invaders .

  1. I suppose it is obvious they don’t give a fuck, normally you would permanently disable any equipment so as to make it unusable to the enemy.

  2. Great! Those tanks will come in handy, turning more cockroaches into dog food. Maybe send then south, to the Kherson region.
